Update on the #1 Batmobile

Let the Restoration Begin

In mid-August of this year the #1 original Batmoible was sold and has a new owner.  The new owner is committed to bringing the car back to its original appearance but in a very conservative manner. He has already acquired “the” two missing roll-top dash doors and placed them back on the dash & got them to function properly. He has acquired many NOS/vintage parts that will go back-on the car to faithfully re-create the look from 1966.

I will continue to update the progress of the restoration with more photos & information.

Below is a photo as of today.

That is wonderful news and is long overdue! I am glad to hear the Batmobile is now in good hands and would love to see it again some day once the restoration is complete!

I grew up with this car, and still love it to this day. I would love to see it in person and perhaps sit in it someday.
